Prokupac 733

Prokupac is an old Serbian native variety, indigenous to our region. Many winemakers, faithful to the Serbian tradition have been renewing this variety thus contributing to and developing the domestic wine identity.

Character

The wine has an extremely layered aroma in which ripe red fruits are intertwined, with the hints of black fruits such as black currants and blackberries, completed with subtle and well-integrated wooden notes, dark chocolate with orange and coffee, that are a result of ageing in the new barriques made of the premium-quality French and American oak. The flutter of the Prokupac wine that surpassed its limits in the 2017 harvest, is completed with the dose of elegancy particularly reflected in the aftertaste of this wine and a long finish, in which, besides the mentioned notes, the mineral-earthy character of this wine is emphasized.

Fermented in large oak barrels and aged partially in stainless steel with the major part aged in Serbian oak barriques.
